Help Save Baby Dawn!
Organized by: Jessica Therien
Hey everyone. So this little girl is my friend Dawn. Shes a year and a half old. While I was interning at the children's hospital in Costa Rica, I came across this little bundle of joy. Going to the hospital and seeing her everyday made me realize how lucky I am to have my health and how much I wish I could give it to some of the patients, like Dawn. Dawn has an intestinal disease called Intestinal Pseudo Obsrtuction and is under study to check if it is also Berdon Syndrome. It is a condition in which one of the layers of her intestine is missing so it doesn't function properly. I am currently campaigning to send Dawn to the United State since she is in critical condition and the only cure for her disease, an intestinal transplant, is here in the States. Her mom no longer has a job becuase she is currently by Dawn's side. In Costa Rica, there are no such things as CNA's or PCA's. The parents are in charge of changing bed sheets, feeding, bathing and giving medications to their children. Therefore, for Dawn to live the best life possible in the hospital, her mother no longer works. She sleep, eats, and stays by Dawns side every day of the week except for the few hours she goes home each day to shower. Both Dawn and her mom are fighters. She has been hospitalized since she was born, and she deserves a chance at life. Her silly personality would make anyone want to give up everything for this little girl. She is currently in the ICU in CRITICAL CONDITION. Time is running out, and Dawn deserves a chance at life. Please help me raise money to send Dawn to the U.S. for proper medical care and for any medical expenses. Any donation, words of advice, prayers and thoughts would be MORE than appreciated. Dawn's mom and I thank you graciously. It means the world to her, and myself as well. <3 PLEASE HELP DAWN TO LIVE!
