Help Save The Rainforest & Prevent Animal Extinction!
Organized by: Joseph Meloni
I would like to raise money to purchase plots of rainforest land to prevent it from being demolished. Currently there are big companies that purchase rainforest property and demolish it for the purpose of money making ventures. This is very sad to me because thousands of species are becoming extinct before we even have time to discover them. I have searched the internet for some type of charity that I could give to that handles such projects, but I have found nothing so I've decided to take the project on myself. It's not a very complicated process really. My plan is to purchase as much rainforest property as possible and then simply do nothing to it. I would like to set a website that donors could goto and help. The website would have a map of potential land for sale and donors could see exactly what plot of land they are helping protect. Plots of land that were purchased by donors could also have their name listed as the one who saved it! I also like to research the possibilites of having it zoned permanently for non-use. I need your help to take on such a project. There will only be a small overhead cost for lawyers, accounts, website development and non-profit legality setup costs. I want as much money as possible to go directly to the purchase of land. My best friend is a translater and I have a few lawyer friends that are willing to help. You can save a species from becoming extinct with a simple donation or just by passing the word on because each acre of rainforest averages atleast one undiscovered species! An acre of rainforest can be purchased for as little as $100. This is an incredibly low price to save a species from extinction, a price I am willing to pay myself if there were such a place to donate. This is what I am trying to do so please help in any method you can. We all should do a little bit to save these species from extinction so that future generations will still have something left to discover.
