I have been selected as a Fellow to participate in the Community Water Solutions 2012 Spring Fellowship Program! That means that this April, I will be traveling to Tamale, Ghana for three weeks where my fellow teammates and I will implement a water treatment center for the local community.
Currently 884 million people across the globe lack access to safe water supplies and 1.8 million people die every year from preventable waterborne disease. In northern Ghana, the region where my team and I will be working, half of the 1.8 million residents, or over 800,000 people, lack access to improved sources of drinking water. The treatment center we will implement will bring clean water to a rural village that is home to part of the 800,000 citizens that currently lack access.
As a team, my fellow mates and I have each been tasked with raising $3,000.00 in 9 weeks. The funds we raise will provide the necessary capital for us to establish a water treatment center that will bring clean water to a rural village in need. Please help us to bring clean water to the people living in the northern region of Ghana by donating! It's simple and you'll be helping a great cause!
Thanks everyone for your support! God bless!
Please don't forget to fill out your name when you donate so I can send you a huge thank you card!
