Help send my students to Eastern Europe-Bring history alive!
Organized by: Alyse Ginsberg
Do you remember when you got your first passport? Where did you go? What impact did it have on your life? Some hard working Advanced Placement World History students at Uniondale High School have just gotten theirs. They have an amazing opportunity to visit four countries in Europe. For many students this will be their first time leaving New York State, let alone visiting another continent. For those of you not familiar with Uniondale High School it is a Title One school. What this means is that many of our students fall below the poverty line. This trip is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity for them. Sadly we already have students who feel they may not be able to make their payments and have to cancel their plan on visiting Prague, Krakow, Berlin, and Budapest. The students are struggling to balance their studies and their fundraising goals. I am setting up this page with the hopes to help defer the cost for the 35 students attending. As a social studies teacher I want to help bring history alive for these hard working, motivated, curious students. Won't you please help to make my students' dream a reality by making a donation.
