Help Spektra Be Safe
Organized by: Spektra Skeeth
Hello my name is Spektra and I'm actually having a whole slew of problems right now but I'll list the top priorities. So I'm schizophrenic and due to that can't keep a job or at this point even get accepted to one. I get a couple hundred from disability every month but it's hardly enough to feed myself so it isn't going far. Currently, I live in Massachusetts in a dangerous shared household and I'm on the run from abusive stalkers so I'm trying to save up to move out of state and change my name. I have some serious medical issues I should tackle first though. In March of 2015 I was in a bad accident and it resulted in 4-5 sizable chunks of glass and rusted metal being lodged deep in my right leg. I was told I need an operation to get these removed or I risk serious infection. They said if I don't do it within a year the risk is high that I may need to have my leg amputated. My insurance won't cover the operation and I contacted the state for help but I have been turned away. They said if I do have to get my leg amputated I would be responsible for paying for that as well. I don't know how much the operations would cost because I can't even afford to go to an initial evaluation appointment. I also have hypothyroidism that has been going untreated due to inability to afford treatment. I thought I might be okay but I'm having insane side effects now. To put it in perspective, a normal count for a human thyroid level is about 3. Mine was 15 last time I got tested and it's been 4 months so I can only assume it has gone up. As far as my symptoms go, my leg looks fine but I am in pain. I've been having fevers accompanied by seizures, memory loss, and catatonic states. I don't know which medical issue these are attributed to but probably partially both. I don't even know what infection the rust is causing but I'm betting Tetanus. Thanks for reading and please consider helping me maybe not die!
