Afya, which means "good health" in Swahili, seeks to spread good health through giving. Following the devastating earthquake in Haiti in 2010, Afya began a Rehab Medicine Program to provide aid to those affected by the earthquake. Afya has since set up several clinics and has treated thousands of patients, aiding in Haiti's national recovery through assisting its disabled population. As a student-run branch of Afya at UCLA, we want to help the foundation as much as possible by raising funds to support this Haiti Rehab Project. Since Afya is based out of New York, we hope to raise awareness for its cause and spread its reach to the West Coast using our networks of friends, family, and fellow UCLA Bruins. Help us in our campaign to raise funds for Haiti this holiday season! Big or small, any donation helps and is hugely appreciated. For more information or ways to get involved, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We wish a happy and safe holiday season to you and your families!
