The Miles Levin Nepal Foundation for Health and Education's goals are to improve the lives of the children in the remote himalayan district of Khotang.
It began in concept in 2009, when Richard Keidan was on trek in eastern Nepal and met up with Namgyal Sherpa, his sirdar (head sherpa guide) on the trip. Namgyal was born and raised in this region, and was determined to make a positive impact.
After preliminary discussions and planning, Richard and Namgyal went on their first fact-finding mission to Khotang in the summer of 2010. By the winter of that same year, the MLNFHE already was in full stride.
We currently are involved in building a new school in Dipru, sponsoring children with their schooling who would otherwise not be able to afford an education, initiating a waste management project responsibe for constructing toilets in all homes and schools in Dipsung (population 1,500), and a hydroelectric project in Rakha.

You will be able to easily share your project page with all of your friends and family. Imagine the impact we can have if we donate and get 10 of our friends to donate and fundraise too. That's the goal.
Thanks so much for your support.
