Help the Stallion Cheerleaders Create their Dream
Organized by: Auburn Hood
I'm coach for a elementary cheer squad called the Stallion Cheerleaders. We currently have 20 girls. We been active for 2 years and never achieve the funds for uniforms. After showing Cheer competition videos to peak their excitement, we got so many question about why can't they do competitions. My response was we can but its going to be hard work. They are proving themselves. A lot of our girls come from single parent households and can't afford anything outside of their bills. Cheerleading is their world and their confidence and to see them grow into a competition squad is a true reward. However its quite expensive: Full uniform per girl is $225, each competition is $100 a participant (hope to make 2 next year) and gymnastic classes are $50 a month per girl, and 2 cheer camps which brings us a little under $20,000 if the parents spilt the cost of gymnastics. We are fundraising every way possible, car washes, cheer-a-thons and bake sales but we are no were near our goal. Even if we fall sort we will at least get uniforms and make one competition. The Stallion Cheerleaders would truly appreciate your hope in making this dream a reality.
