Khaney Gaun is a remote village in Nepal which is completely cut off from the world due to the lack of roads. There is no transportation, shops, schools or any other services due to the lack of road. The women walk 4hours daily to make the ends meet or get the basic necessities of everyday life. Since, the village is located on a steep terrain, agriculture production is almost negligible. The men have relocated themselves in the cities for a living and the village has children and women who are visited by their husbands and fathers on weekends.
If the women can learn some knitting or stitching skills, they will be able to work from home and earn a living for them selves and their children. However, in order to learn some skills, they require money. So we are hoping to raise money to start training in them in their village itself.
