Help the Winters family find a home
Organized by: Bernard Townsend
Meet Ashley Winters and her two children Emma and Joseph Winters. Ashley is a 29 year old woman Canadian born in the city of Toronto. She was adopted at age 5 by Elizabeth and Frank Winters. Ashley’s father Frank past away at age 85 from prostate cancer and her mother Elizabeth also from a bad heart 2 years after her father’s death. The only family Ashley has now is her two children as her adoptive parents were born in Russia their family also resides there as well. She has no contact with any of the family in Russia because her parents never spoke of them or introduced her to any of them. Ashley had Emma at age 23 and Joseph at age 27. Ashley and her two kids moved to the city of New York year 2010 to pursue her career in Finance. Ashley started working part time and attending school to pursue her Masters in Finance all thanks to her parents but that has come to an end. After unfortunate events, her home in queens was recently burned down accidentally while the nanny was watching the kids one night. Everyone got out safely but now Ashley and her two kids does not have a home and is currently staying in a shelter. The only money she has can only afford to put her kids through daycare and go to work. She can no longer attend school as she has run out of funds to finish her MBA. Ashley’s daughter Emma has a skin disease on her stomach and joseph has asthma and needs to be checked up on regularly. As she does not have any insurance to cover the dermatologist fees to cure her daughter’s skin disease, she is afraid that her daughter has to live with this for the rest of her life. If there is anyone that feels Ashley’s pain and would like to give this family a helping hand it is greatly appreciated. Ashley never thought that coming to a new country with her two kids to pursue her career and to live a better life that all of this can suddenly happen to her. She is stressed every day and just want the best for her kids. Please help Ashley raise money for a home for her kids and to help her get back on track in finishing her MBA to provide a wonderful life in the future for her two kids.
