BENEFITING: Alzheimer's Association
EVENT DATE: Nov 06, 2011
I had an amazing NYC Marathon and thanks to your support, I was able to meet both my fundraising and running goals. THANK YOU ALL!!
In honor of my grandmother, who passed away in 2009, I will be raising money for the Alzheimer's Association. My grandmother, though never a runner, eptomizes the spirit of a marathoner -- love of the outdoors, nature, and a good adventure. She always knew the value of perseverance. She was a gardener, mother, teacher, grandmother and a fabulous cook. She was the linchpin of my family and we miss her dearly.
SPECIAL THANKS TO:
My parents - they have seen me through my previous two marathons with gatorade and prayers that I'm not sick/injured/dead when I tell them I'll be out running for a "few hours."
My friends have been especially pateMy friends - for their patience when I can't hang out as much because I've got an early run or I've passed out on their couch from doing an early morning run. Plus all the <3 in general...
My NYU Tri teammates & running buddies - for keeping me motiviated and on track whether by fielding my questions about training, protein or meeting up for runs, swims and drills. They've also been super helpful with giving me perspective and pep talks when needed.
YOU - for donating here and supporting me this fall.
Thank you for helping me reach my goal. You are amazing!
