Bill Gulledge. Son. Brother. Uncle. Partner. Friend. Role Model. HOG. And after my Grandfather died in 1984, Family Patriarch for the last 30 years. Always willing to offer a smile, a laugh, and a helping hand, Bill’s generous nature has influenced and touched the lives of so many in Beech Grove and beyond.
[My Uncle] Bill will be 64 on August 23. Just one year ago he was celebrating his early retirement, intending to have a long and healthy senior life. Now he is fighting for his life.
Previously undetected, Bill was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer earlier this year. The cancer has now spread to other parts of his body. Shortly after his retirement last year, the company where he served his entire career suffered economic hardship and his healthcare benefits were eliminated. While we waited for the VA Hospital to establish care for this U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran, expedited treatment was vital and expensive.
Let's help Bill get healthy and back to enjoying his golden years…like his upcoming birthday and getting married. This long-time bachelor is now a soon-to-be first-time-groom after more than 15 years of courtship with his partner, Brenda. Way to go, Uncle Bill!
Join me with Bill’s family and friends in Indianapolis on September 21 for a raffle/auction/fundraiser at the Beech Grove Eagles, Aerie #4167 (712 Main Street, Beech Grove, IN 46107).
Thank you to all for your support!
