Help Us Support Ebola Response in Liberia
Organized by: Meighan Berberich
This past week our family gathered to celebrate the life of my Grandfather, James Flood. By our side was Josephine (better known as Jossie), my Grandparent's long-time caregiver and a beloved member of our extended family.
Jossie, who is from Liberia, has already lost several members of her family to Ebola. While we were there, she discovered her sister now has the virus.
In the last year Ebola has killed almost 5,000 people in West Africa and the numbers are rising rapidly.
We feel compelled to help.
We have been in contact with Last Mile Health (http://lastmilehealth.org/), an organization that is on the ground helping train and equip Liberian health workers in rural areas to prepare for and respond to Ebola.
They are in desperate need of Surgical Gloves, Masks, and Disinfectants.
In memory of my Grandparents, who have always inspired us to help those who need it, and in support of the Jossie and the people of Liberia, please help us support Last Mile Health's Ebola response efforts.
Your contributions will go to purchasing supplies for Last Mile Health. We will be shipping these to Monrovia the first week of November with the help of Jossie’s son Michael.
Your contribution can make a big difference:
$10.00 = 100 pairs of nitrile industrial gloves
$20.00 = 512 ounces of bleach (8 bottles)
$50.00 = 250 Protective Masks
$100.00 = 10 pairs of protective goggles
$150.00 = 25 coverall suits
Our sincere thanks for any help you can give.
