Help Victims of Sex Slavery
Organized by: Julie Porter
My heart is aching for the millions of girls who have been sold into sex slavery. I can no longer stand by and do nothing. I'm a Seminary student with a heart yearning to do anything I can to help these innocent girls.
We need your help in building a dynamic website to increase awareness for sex trafficking and sex slavery, provide spiritual support, connect victims and their families with local resources and have an anonymous online community.
Girls are sold as sex slaves every day in the US.
2 to 4 million people globally are trapped in forced sexual exploitation every year.
An estimated 50% of these victims are children.
600,000 to 800,000 women, children and men are bought and sold across international borders and exploited either for forced labor or commercial sex.
As of 2012, there are 20.9 million victims of Trafficking world wide.
1.5 million of these victims are in the United States.
Human Trafficking is a $32 billion a year industry.
The average age for victims is 11 to 14.
The average life span of a victim is only 3 to 7 years. Victims are found dead from HIV, STD’s, suicide, overdose, abuse and attacks.
Unbeknownst to teenage girls, sex traffickers often lure their victims with false promise of a high-paying job.
Victims are often expected to earn between $500 and $1000 nightly.
This money is confiscated by the pimps.
Please donate to help us build an online resource for the victims and their families.
