Help with Colon/Rectum Cancer Treatment
Organized by: Michele Teller
My Dad, Jim, was diagnosed with stage 3 colon/rectum cancer. He is a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He is a 77 year old retiree and the only insurance he has is Medicare. He was rushed to the hospital on May 27th due to excessive bleeding from the rectum. He was admitted to ICU after the bleeding was stopped to find out the cause. A colonoscopy was performed and that is when the doctors discovered the cancer. The mass is so large that he must have chemotherapy and radiation treatment for approximately six weeks to shrink the cancer then the cancer can be removed surgically. This treatment plan will not be completely covered by Medicare insurance. The funds raised will be given to him to pay for the large medical bills that will be incurred from this treatment plan. Any donations would be greatly appreciated by him and his family.
