About Henry: A professional artist working in visual effects and animated films for over 25 years, Henry Darnell has created miniatures, puppets and props for film, television, theme parks and live performances.
Henry received his Bachelors degree in Illustration from the Columbus College of Art and Design in 1983. He and his wife Kathy moved to Los Angeles Ca. in 1986 to pursue his career as a commercial artist for film and he is currently working as a Modeling Supervisor at ReelFX, in Dallas, TX.
Henry believes that art is a lifelong pursuit. “I want to create art every day. Artists must study other artists. Street painting is a great chance to study a master work. I consider the artist's technique and how they conceptualized their subject as I'm working to replicate it. Street painting also offers a unique opportunity create art live for the public. “It is amazing to watch an artist work through their process and see their passion take form as art.”
Henry has been a dedicated Via Colori artist driving in from the big D since 2010.
