Here I am Send Me
Organized by: Chad Ferris
EVENT DATE Oct 02, 2014
Here I am, Send me.
These words are so imortant to me and my family. We feel called to go and help any way we can there. The locals are near and dear to us. They deal with disease such as Aids and Colera, poverty especially where we are traveling as the majority of the people are completely unemployed despite extremely high GDP, starvation, and dispair. Even with all of this pain and adversity they are still a loving, and kind people just like you and I. They want the same things we do for our families, and they just need help. We want to partner with you to get us there so we can help educate and serve them in a way that hopefully teaches them the most important lesson for survival.
The problems in Africa can seem so overwhelming, and they are overwhelming. But if you dial into a community, and a particular people you have a chance to grow and learn together, and just might affect change with lasting effects for an entire continent! Feed a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime. This idea is so powerful and you can help us carry it out!
We know not everyone is destined to physically go to places like Africa, but everyone does have the opportunity to help in other ways. When you decide to get involved you become a part of the solution. You make the world a different and better place. It such a crazy thing that so much can be accomplished as easily as deciding to participate.
We have a few ways you can help. One of course is prayer, this is a big one! If you could please pray for Heather and I ,and please pray for Africa. This is a hard place and we need as much prayer as we can get :) .
If you have the ability to give financially that is awesome!
This crowdrise directly helps us with travel expenses and on the ground supplies and cost.
Please join us to help provide for those who don't have the knowledge they need to survive. With your help we can change the world.
