BENEFITING: TEAM RED WHITE & BLUE
My whole life has been surrounded by the heroics of emergency service workers especially the fire department. The rewards of assisting those in need both during emergencies and outside in the community have a profound meaning in my life. It wasnt until the Bravery of 9/11 that my life took a turn even further in this direction. My friends joined the military, more people joined the emergency services, and I entered the the ranks as one of the New York City Fire Departments Bravest. Since then, I could not begin to describe the courage, bravery, sacrifice, and many other attributes that military and emergency service workers endure. Many give their lives and livlihood to the causes they support and make the supreme sacrifice in the process. It is with this in mind and having seen many of the reprocussions of which that I am doing this climb. Many have given all for us to live better lives in this country and while they all dedicate their lives to support us, we must return the favor to them both from within and without. The funds raised by this cause will support those who have given most and all of themselves to recover from the physical and emotional damages endured by the risks they take. I invite you to think of this one fact. Imagine a total stranger coming to your aid in the time of need. You dont know them, they do not know you, but they are willing to give themselves completely to protect, serve, and aid you...even die for you. The feeling is so profound and selfless you almost cannot comprehend it. Our veterans give up their families, lives, mind, body and soul to make sure that you are safe here and can live yours, while emergency workers remain here to help you on the home front to get through the good, bad and the tough times. While not everyone can do this job there is a way you can say thank you to them by being herioc and selfless and sacrificing just a few dollars. I invite you to donate and become a hero yourself to support me, the military, emergency service workers, and the risks they take on a daily basis to make all our lives better and safer!
