THE STORY:
My brother John died this year from a heroin overdose. He was 41. John had a long struggle with addiction, but he also had a lot of hopes. He wanted to start his own painting company. He wanted to finish school. He wanted to move in with his girlfriend.
I'm running the 2016 NYC Marathon to raise money for The Herren Project, an organization that raises awareness about addiction and provides assistance in finding treatment. Please help me remember John.
