The Story

EVENT DATE: Nov 20, 2011

DEADLINE TO GIVE: Dec 20, 2011

FUNDRAISER SET UP DEADLINE: Dec 19, 2011

The Hidden Heroes Award is a program of The Andrew Goodman Foundation. Through this award, we are able to find and highlight ordinary people doing extraordinary work in their communities. Our mission is to empower and support “Hidden Heroes” - individuals who take creative and effective action to promote human dignity, civil rights and social justice. Their actions are characterized by personal initiative, selflessness, fearlessness, compassion, imagination, and achievement. Each year, The Andrew Goodman Foundation honors and provides grants to at least four individuals or community-based organizations who exemplify our mission.

Ignite Hidden Heroes

Our Hidden Heroes (see below) are solving today's problems with the passion and selflessness that has proved to effectively create meaningful social change. Your Hidden Heroes donation directly impacts the honorees recognized by the Foundation. The Awards Ceremony is an opportunity to bring together the Heroes and their communities as well as pay it forward to next year's honorees. Individuals and organizations that work to make our society more peaceful, just, sustainable and empowered need to be championed and supported. Please join us in recognizing and sustaining good work by making a donation to Hidden Heroes today.
