I am passionate about digital/online innovation for global health – using technology to reduce human suffering and improve the lives of more than 7 billion people worldwide. To realize my passion, I applied for and was accepted to the StartingBloc 2013 Los Angeles Institute for Social Innovation, a 5-day transformative experience during which I will learn to exponentially increase my impact in serving those who needed most.
I hope you will support my pursuit of using technology to improve and save lives affected by various global health crises. I ask for your help in raising my StartingBloc tuition of $1000 by December 20, 2012. Any amount would help!
My passion for digital innovation in global health comes from my work with the Prostate Cancer Foundation, where I have been spearheading a cancer research program in China and exploring ways to crowdsource for prostate cancer research. Outside of work, I have traveled to ten countries and volunteered in five, dedicated myself to learning three foreign languages, and delved into the health tech industry by connecting with young professionals with similar interests.
But I need to do more – acquire a toolkit for creating a sustainable social enterprise, learn from industry experts, and exchange ideas with passionate individuals. The StartingBloc 2013 Los Angeles Institute for Social Innovation can help me achieve these goals. Being a StartingBloc Fellow is the first step towards enabling me to contribute new ideas and practices for improving global health. Please help me take that first step by donating towards my StartingBloc tuition of $1000 by December 20, 2012 (any amount helps!).
Please email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you have any questions or suggestions.
THANK YOU for your generous gift of time and support!
