Our goal is to break barriers and build bridges for young people by giving them access to scholarships, master classes, workshops, conferences and other educational dance experiences that otherwise may not be available. Join hands with our artistic community when you give our youth a virtual “High 5” and make a donation of $5, $15, $25, $35, $45, $55 or more to help give these young artists the chance to dance. The first initiative to kick-off the new season is a 7-day excursion to Los Angeles where students will have the opportunity to attend and perform at the LA Tap Fest in conjunction with the Debbie Allen Dance Academy. Our students will also be attending master classes at the Monsters of Hip Hop Nationwide Finale, auditioning for scholarships, and networking with youth in the arts from across America. Industry professionals and choreographers from Film, Broadway and well-renowned Colleges and Universities will be working hands-on with our youth so it is truly an awesome opportunity. Following Los Angeles, we have a host of awesome initiatives planned throughout the season. For the 2016 – 2017 season our goal is to raise $5,000 to support our endeavors. In keeping with our theme, we are asking for donations that end with the number 5, but of course donations of any amount are welcome! Not only will your donation go toward a worthy cause but it will also be tax-deductible. Plus, 100% of the donations collected here will go directly to our youth to assist with class fees, travel, lodging and meals related to touring in and out of state and even out of the country! Please watch the video to learn more about our programs and visit us online anytime at www.LSODF.org to get more details about our students and staff. Thank you for your time and your High 5! Your support is greatly need and appreciated!
