BENEFITING: WATER FOR SOUTH SUDAN
TRANSFORMING LIVES WATER FOR SOUTH SUDAN DELIVERS DIRECT, TRANSFORMATIVE AND SUSTAINABLE QUALITY-OF-LIFE SERVICE TO THE PEOPLE OF SOUTH SUDAN BY EFFICIENTLY PROVIDING ACCESS TO CLEAN, SAFE WATER AND IMPROVING HYGIENE PRACTICES IN AREAS OF GREAT NEED. Water for South Sudan drills fresh water wells in South Sudan, one of the world's poorest countries. Since 2005 WFSS has drilled over 250 wells, bringing fresh, clean water to hundreds of thousands of South Sudanese, transforming their lives. WFSS was founded by Salva Dut, a former "Lost Boy of Sudan." Our 2014-2015 drilling season ended in May with the completion of 40 new wells. We continued our Hygiene Project which sends a hygiene education team with the drilling team to bring hygiene information to the villages. 2015 also saw the continuation of the United Peace and Development Project, working with Aqua-Africa, across tribal lines, to bring access to fresh water. Water for South Sudan is dedicated to helping to develop South Sudan, the newest nation on earth.
