The Alma J. Cameron Foundation for Cancer Awareness (AJCF) has been actively involved in making a difference n the quality of life for cancer patients, during and after treatment.
The mission of the AJCF is to bring awareness to the early warning signs of Lung Cancer to underprivileged women of color in South Los Angeles through PSA’s (public service announcements) and to provide monetary support to African American and Latina women with all forms of cancer who are seeking integrative treatments to enhance their physical, psychological and spiritual well-being before, during and after conventional cancer treatments.
It is our endeavor to bridge the gap between conventional and integrative cancer treatments by providing access to integrative treatments with our partners at Simms/Mann UCLA Center for Integrative Oncology. We are proud to say that we are fulfilling an unmet need within the City of LA.
To meet our goal of sponsoring 10 patients before the end of the year at $1K per patient for 1 Year Services ($10K), the AJCF organization is its hosting its 1st Annual Hike 2 defeat Cancer on November 9, 2014 at 9AM in Temescal Gateway Park on Sunset Blvd. Please join us!
