On November 1, HIKE for Mental Health directors Nancy Kozanecki and Leo Walker will challenge themselves in the 12+ mile Spartan “Beast” obstacle course race near Dallas, TX. Who wants to join us? Please. We need all the help we can get. Yes, it is a race, but we are running for fun as a no-one-left-behind team.
So if you are inclined to push the limits of your physical stamina and don’t mind getting muddy and sweaty in the process, join us and help raise funds for HIKE for Mental Health.
Or make a donation to our all-volunteer group.
Eighty percent of the Spartan Beast donations will fund grants for scientific research to alleviate suffering from mental illness. The remainder will preserve wilderness hiking trails.
HIKE for Mental Health is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization born of a single vision: a world in which everyone, including those who suffer from mental illness, can find the simple joy of living. Sharing the joy of the outdoors, while helping those who battle mental illness – that is what motivates us.
