THE STORY:

Safe Haven Family Shelter is gearing up for its 10th annual Hike for the Homeless, a fantastic fundraiser and a great way to spend time outdoors with friends and family. The event includes hiking on two paved trails (2.2 and 3.1 miles), complimentary food, face painting and inflatables for the kids, live music and more.

Safe Haven provides transitional housing for up to 10 families at a time, providing shelter, training, counseling and education in a safe environment for struggling families with children under the age of 18. This is a fantastic organization that gives a "hand up," not a "hand out." Please join my team for this fun and energizing hike in one of Nashville's most beautiful parks, or make a donation in support of Safe Haven! Thank you for your interest and your generosity.

The hike will begin at Edwin Warner Park picnic shelters 9 and 11 on Saturday, November 8, 2014. Registration starts at 9 a.m., with hikers hitting the trail at 10 am.

For more information, feel free to call or text me at 615-945-0032.
