BENEFITING: CANCERCLIMBER ASSOCIATION
My name is Peter Campbell and I am a two-time cancer survivor of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
In 2015, I was awarded an adventure grant through the Cancer Climber Association which allowed me the opportunity to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa. This amazing trip and opportunity has inspired me to try and raise enough money to send another cancer survivor on that same adventure.
My goal is to raise at least $6000.00, which is the approximate cost of the trip that also includes a week long African safari.
To do so, I will be challenging myself to backpack 100 miles on the North Country Trail this August with hopes to inspire cancer patients and other survivors and to raise money for the Cancer Climber Association.
Cancer Climber Association is a unique non-profit organization co-founded by Sean Swarner, a fellow two-time cancer survivor. Sean is the first cancer survivor to climb Mt. Everest and he did it with one lung! His amazing story of perseverance gave me the hope and strength to fight my cancer and it inspires me to do the same for others.
