We are a group of friends planning on climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in the summer of 2017 to raise money for refugees and victims of famine.
Oxfam is an international anti-poverty nonprofit that is currently working to support the millions of families that are at risk of starvation in South Sudan, Nigeria, Yemen, and Somalia. They urgently need food, sanitation, and clean water.
Oxfam also helps the more than 20 million refugees fleeing from conflict in Syria, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen get the essential supplies they need and working to provide clean water and sanitation to protect public health. Half of these refugees are children, who have endured unspeakable atrocities and continue to face a life of uncertainty and strife as they attempt to build a life in a new place.
Our group is traveling to Mt Kilimanjaro at the end of August. We are taking the Rongai route on Kilimanjaro, which will take 6 days.
We appreciate any support you may give, whether financial or otherwise. All money donated through this website goes directly to Oxfam.
