BENEFITING: The Institute for Sustainable Peace
Music can be a powerful tool in changing lives. And during the 1950’s, the rhythm and rhymes of “race music”– with its foot-stomping Blues, Jazz, Gospel, and R&B – played a vital role in uniting Blacks and Whites. And it is my sincere desire to utilize my screenplay HITMAKERS to stir a positive and profound influence on America’s race relations -- as well as today’s youth – and help stop hatred. Both my business partner, Marsha Washington-George, and I believe that dismantling the “canvases” of malice propagating music and entertainment media today is dependent first on both Blacks and Whites -- young and old -- respecting the beauty of each one’s culture. And it is through the message and artistry of HITMAKERS that we endeavor to combat the demeaning images of hatred and hostility in our society.
Presently, we have sparked the interest of Chief Operating Officer Daniel A. Sherkow of Global Universal Entertainment in West Hollywood, California and Chase Chenowith of Riverwood Studios in Senoia, Georgia. Both gentlemen have pledged their support of this project as Marsha and I seek investors willing to invest five million dollars ($5,000,000) to transform this vision into an independently produced feature film.
