I am Augustine Charles Oyet and I represent Northern Uganda Rural Development Initiative (NURDI).We would like to take this opportunity to write to you regarding our not-for-profit organization based in Uganda. Northern Uganda Rural Development Initiative (NURDI) is an indigenous Ugandan community based, Not-for-Profit organization located in Orom Sub-county in Kitgum District of Northern Uganda; founded in 2010 and registered in 2014. NURDI aims to improve the socio-economic status and rights of the rural poor and under-privileged people of the rural communities in Northern Uganda in particular and Uganda in general. To achieve the above aim, NURDI strives to organise, unite, empower and build capacity of most neglected poor and deprived rural communities, vulnerable groups of people; i.e. Women, youth, children and disabled. NURDI has been actively providing awareness and advocacy on different social issues that promote development and increase sources of income to individuals to enhance sustainable livelihood; I.e. education, health, human rights and agriculture programs. NURDI plans to undertake long-term development oriented activities to strengthen their rights and socio-economic status. Against these background and for effective and efficient operation NURDI requires intervention from International Fundraising Activities, so that we can meet our objective of achieving sustainable increase in living standards of the rural poor, through enabling and empowering them with appropriate skills, confidence and assist them in acquiring the necessary economic and social infrastructure and environmental resources needed to solve their problems. We believe that your support is the right one and capable of assisting us in meeting our objectives and therefore hope to hear from you soon.
