BENEFITING: ORPHAN WORLD RELIEF INC
Casa Hogar Vida serves parents and children who are infected with HIV and also teaches the community to create awareness of how to avoid getting infected and to rid the stigma and discrimination against those who have contracted the disease.
Four people from central Ohio are visiting this orphanage to bring back some first-hand knowledge of the great work being done at this orphanage. Trip Members include: Doug Riggle, President/Director for OWR; Rick & Nancy Neighbarger, OWR Board Members; and, Summer Denius, who works for ArtSafe locally and will be helping us with a special art project.
The cost for the trip will be approximately $1,500 per person (or $6,000 total). While there, the team plans to:
- interact with the children and families in the area
- paint with the children -- Orphan World Relief is partnering with some art galleries in Columbus to showcase artwork by orphans
- take photos to help us tell the stories of children in need
