Did you know that "42.2 million Americans lived in food insecure households, including 13.1 million children. Poverty in the United States is only one of many factors associated with food insecurity. In fact, higher unemployment, lower household assets, and certain demographic characteristics also lead to a lack of access to adequate, nutritious food. Also, 13.1 million children lived in food-insecure households in 2015." Source: http://www.feedingamerica.org/hunger-in-america/impact-of-hunger/child-hunger/child-hunger-fact-sheet.html
The Hunter Foundation is committed to helping families thrive and overcome food insecurity. The foundation focuses on supporting organizations that work with children and families that address food shortage and hunger issues, by organizing food and clothing drives, and providing emergency assistance to families in need. We also provide contributions to these organizations by bringing together, donors, partners, businesses and celebrity friends during this fundraising season.
On Giving Tuesday, November 29th through December 15th, the Hunter Foundation will host a series of holiday dinners, which will feed over 400 families nutritious and healthy meals in New York and New Jersey. In addition, each child will receive a toy or coat donated by friends of the Hunter Foundation.
