Hello! I admit, I have been…
Hello! I admit, I have been away for a few months working on a charity event that I have not yet gotten on Crowdrise. It was an international event called Shimmy Mob, where belly dancers from all over the world performed the same choreography, wearing the same simple outfits, on the same day (May 12th, World Belly Dance Day). The proceeds went to local shelters that help the domestically abused. I bhope next year to have this event showcased here on Crowdrise. Thus, I have been absent and have not had the chance to say 'hello' to new people joining Crowdrise...So... A Belated Welcome to Crowdrise!! Here is a vote (100 points), to help you get rolling!! Great to see you have already chosen a project!! You are off to an awesome start!!

Stuff About Me:

Despite my vast collection of books on raw food, organic farming, mind-body balance, nutritional theories — and every diet book imaginable — I spent a good part of my adult life slumped in a painful cycle of searing migraines, endless allergies, full-body inflammation, a compromised immune system, and agonizing miscarriages. I was one sick, sad stylista. And no amount of Chanel handbags could heal what ailed me.

I had stepped away from an executive-level career in high fashion — grooving and shaking as a V.P. for Chanel and before that a Senior Buyer for Tiffany & Co. —  and tearfully left my city-love, NYC, only to find that my contained symptoms worsened once I hit my dream life with Mr. Right.

Several years later, I devoted myself to a sequence of systematic re-education: culinary school, nutritional training…and lots of trial and error. Piece by piece, meal by meal, I learned to attune to my body’s natural signals, and respond with loving attention.

I wish I could tell you that my transformation was swift and sudden. It wasn’t.

Designing a Nutritional Style that truly suits your life takes time, persistence, and yeah — passion. But the gorgeous news is that you’ll look (and feel) more vibrant, with every step.

Yours, for the journey to wellness,

With much love,

Holli
