Welcome to Holly Pond. . . our tranquil and amazingly beautiful playground straddling Darien and Stamford on Long Island Sound. We want to help our SoundWaters neighbors protect the pond and the rest of the Sound by joining the Flotilla and paddling our kayaks and paddle boards 4.5 miles from Weed Beach (on the Darien side) or Cove Island Park (on the Stamford side) of Holly Pond to Boccuzzi Park in Stamford Harbor. All the details of the event and how to participate can be found at: http://soundwaters.org/flotilla/
All Flotilla paddlers will be raising money to help SoundWaters introduce underserved kids to the incredible resource of Long Island Sound through hands-on classes and camps on the water and in the classroom. These kids may live in or near coastal towns, but most never actually get to the Sound without help like ours!
If you live on or near Holly Pond or Long Island Sound, or just want to help us help SoundWaters, come join the Flotilla's Holly Pond Paddlers and have a great time paddling with us, volunteer to help, or just make a donation, knowing you're helping today's kids protect tomorrow's greatest natural resource!
Thanks for considering supporting SoundWaters, and we hope to see you on the water on July 22nd!
