My sister gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Journey on September 7th. She had to be rushed to the hospital and her labor had to be induced because her blood pressure was at 200/150. Shortly after she had to be induced for labor. Baby Journey became distressed so they had to do an emergency C-section. My sister has been dealing with pre-eclampsia and has been in the hospital for a week. On September 11th, we got the call that my sister's apartment had been burned down. All of her belongings ruined. We were very thankful that my sister did not go home as expected on Saturday because she would not have been able to get out of her 3rd floor apartment except by her window. The hospital has donated some clothes but as of right now they do not have a place to call home. Her complex does not have any apartments to give her at this point. She does have rental insurance but if you have been through that situation you know how timely that process can be. Please help our family give her a place to call home as well as help with replenishing what they have lost. Thank you!
