I was born and raised in the North East. I am very much a homebody and have been saving to buy my own home for the last 15 years. I am doing ok savings-wise, but no matter what I do, how much my job pays, how many hours I work, I just can't seem to make it happen. I have lived in apartments since the house I grew up in was sold. None of these have ever felt like home to me. I've done everything you're "supposed" to do; college, climbed the corporate ladder, work my tail off, but it's always just a little too far out of reach. I don't have a sad story of bad health or hard times. It is hard being single and trying to get your own roof over your head without a second income or family to lend monetary assistance. It is humbling to share my story and ask for help. Thank you for reading and if you've chosen to help, I am grateful for your kindness and generosity.
