When a parent is told to seek treatment in Boston for a child's critical illness one of the first questions is, "Where will we stay?" and often the second question is, "How will we afford it?".
The mission of Home Away Boston is to provide comfortable housing close to the hospital, a caring community of support, and other services free of charge to families with critically ill children.
With your help, Home Away Boston provides a “Home-Away-from-Home” to families with critically ill children. Families coming from all over the world for their child’s medical care face enormous hurdles navigating the complexities of the health care system, extraordinarily high local housing costs, and excessive emotional and physical stress. We remove the stress of daily living and support families to help them focus on what really matters: their child’s health and healing.
