Home for the homeless
Organized by: Melissa Emmons
As a child, my dream was to be able to shelter and feed the homeless, ALL OF THEM! As an adult with my own home, I DID! Only a few at a time though. I was a sucker for anyone that needed a place to lay their head, a warm meal or simply someone to listen to them for awhile. Now, as an older adult, I still have my dream to shelter and feed the homeless. To buy out several warehouses in town and turn them into dorms and train people for the work force. Shelter them, feed them, clothe them, teach them, counsel them, recover them, whatever it takes to get and keep them off the streets. My only draw back to crush my dream is I myself, am facing homelessness. I am disabled now, have been since 2001 and have been struggling pretty much since then. Balancing on the thin line between a warm place to lay my head and a cold, card board box is a pretty scary place to be! So, I have decided to throw this out to the world and see if I can save myself and a whole lot of other folks from the streets. Need lots of donations! The sooner the better.
