We invite you to provide funding for wireless services for Harbor Interfaith Services' Accelerated Learning & Living (A.L.L.) program, a transitional housing opportunity providing homeless families with an apartment for up to 18 months while parents pursue educational goals. During that time, parents must attend school to complete a degree or earn a certificate, enabling them to step into a career to support the family. A.L.L. lifts family income by helping parents earn the educational credentials they need to move out of poverty. The program's wireless service is old, malfunctioning, and needs to be replaced. Parents are struggling to meet educational goals without access to the internet.
The mission of Harbor Interfaith is to empower the homeless and working poor to achieve self-sufficiency by providing support services including shelter, transitional housing, food, job placement, advocacy, childcare, education, and life-skills training. We are located in San Pedro, CA, but serve the entire South Bay of Los Angeles County.
