Homeless family seperated
Organized by: Laura Pruitt
My husband, my two small children and I were advised by the homeless shelters to get assistance from the police department due to all shelters and resources being full or without funds here in Colorado. The Pueblo Police Department treated us like criminals for being homeless, refused to help us, and forced us to give up our children until we get into a home. My husband is now working, however makes very little money and I am struggling to find work especially with this emotional distress i am going through . When my husband gets paid its never enough all at once to pay for the first months rent and deposit, unbearable amounts in fees to start Black Hills Energy, plus moving expenses and having everything that the children need in order to take them home. Every paycheck has been barely enough for everyday living expenses. If we could just have enough money all at once to get into the home and reunite our family, we can budget our income enough to keep a home. If I can raise $2500 I will use $1,500 for fist month rent and deposit, $500 to turn on gas and electric, and $500 for the children's necessities (bed, clothes, toiletries, and dishes). Please help us, we are very appreciative for any kind of help we can receive to have our family once again.
