The Honeycomb Project develops and manages meaningful service projects for families. Last year, more than 1,600 volunteers shared their time and talents with Honeycomb – that’s 5,000 volunteers since our founding in 2011. Families from more than 80 Chicago-area neighborhoods have volunteered with us, and 82% of Honeycomb families live in low-to-moderate income communities. Honeycomb families of all ages learn about and address the most pressing needs in our community. We work together to help at-risk, homeless, and low-income individuals and families, and improve natural and recreational areas in under-served and impoverished neighborhoods.
We mobilize families to make Chicago a cleaner, safer and happier place to be. We’re building a hive of givers for tomorrow!
