Honoring the Life of Jason Dominic Gilbert
Organized by: Michael Bard
My brother, Jason, only 31 years old, died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on May 14, 2016. Jason had an infectious smile and could light up any room that he entered. He was so full of life, love and laughter. This loss was a tragic surprise for my family as are the unexpected expenses. Before Jason died, I was planning a through-hike of the Appalachian Trail from Maine to Georgia. I am dedicating my hike in memory of Jason and inviting you to join me through donations to help defray his funeral expenses. A small portion of the donations will also be used to offset some of my expenses along the trail. Here are the opportunities to give: you can give a donation amount of your choice or you may choose to "sponsor" me, per mile, on my hike. For example, the Appalachian Trail is 2,190 miles long and a sponsorship of 0.10 per mile would be a $219 donation. You may choose any amount to sponsor me or choose from the list below.
