EVENT DATE: Feb 05, 2016
As a former junior tennis player, you may have played in a tournament organized by Mary Seelig. If her name isn’t familiar, maybe the memory of eating gummy bears during a tournament will spark a memory. Whether you won the championship or lost in the first round, it didn’t matter to Mary – every junior player was a "winner" and a "learner". Although it may seem small, her gift of gummy bears during tournaments made a lasting impression on young players – possibly even you - and she’s still remembered for this small gesture over 25 years later. Now older but still young at heart, Mary still loves tennis and continues to volunteer her time to the sport and the USTA/Midwest Section.
We ask that you consider honoring Mary by making a donation that will support our current generation of "winners" and "learners". Your money will support young tennis players through various scholarships and grants.
The Midwest Tennis & Education Foundation (MTEF), the charitable arm of the USTA/Midwest Section, is hosting a reception for Mary at its 2016 Charity Gala on Friday, February 5th at 5:30PM the Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel.
Those that make a donation will be invited to the reception. Click here to register: https://app.etapestry.com/onlineforms/MidwestYouthTennisFoundatio/maryseeligrsvp.html
