I'm running in honor of Tanner. He motivates and inspires me to live each day to the fullest and face adversity head on knowing God is in control and anything is possible!
Below is Tanner's story:
On March 23, 2012, Tanner's mom was driving two of our three boys to meet their dad for dinner. They were rear ended on the interstate and our youngest son, Tanner, sustained the brunt of the impact in the back seat. He was 13 at the time and suffered a severe TBI with diffused axonal shearing reaching down to his brain stem. He spent 6 months in three hospitals. That day their lives forever changed in an instant. There has been a lot of improvement and many setbacks along the way. Tanner continues to fight for his recovery every day!
