I decided to join the Hope4Minds Team to help raise money for children with an acquired brain injury while doing something that I love.....run!
I'm running in honor of Brianna whose life drastically changed after a car accident. Her fight to recover motivates and inspires me!
On December 30th 2014, Brianna’s family was involved in a car accident with an 18 wheeler. She lost her 7 year old little brother in the accident. Her older brother and mother also suffered injuries and had multiple surgeries. Brianna suffered a severe traumatic brain injury that left her trapped in her own body helpless and dependent for every little thing. She was in a vegetative state for months. She is still unable to walk, talk, and eat orally. Her family works with her every day and advocate for further treatment. She remains in a rehab center and still needs multiple surgeries in the future. Her family will not give up hope! Brianna continues to fight to recover!
HOPE4MINDS believes that the health and well-being of these children can improve over time if families have access to educational materials, therapeutic services and adaptive equipment for their children. They also believe that families can gain strength by connecting with one other.
To provide these crucial services, they need our help. Every dollar makes a difference. With your generous gift, you make it possible to keep hope alive – one precious child at a time. Please consider donating to my fundraiser in honor of Brianna!
