For the last 2 years, we have been feeding 250 to 350 grade school students in Baguio City, Philippines. We aim to reach out to 2,000 kids daily for the year 2017 to 2018. One of children's rights is to finish schooling, but sadly, due to poverty, hunger stops them from staying in school. Help us mitigate hunger by providing them lunch meals during school time. TFAO & NTU Foundation partner in this endeavor to fight poverty by encouraging families to send the kids to school, educate them for their future, while we initiate projects that answer and support their one of their basic needs which is the day's lunch meals. We have engaged a school based kitchen with volunteers that cook and prepare vegetable based meals that kids enjoy, and we promote health awareness, as well as values formation. The sustainability lies within our partnership with parents and the community as they participate in backyard planting of crops and poultry raising, which we purchase directly. This way we not only save the kids' health, but we also try to alleviate family income status through our procurement of their produce. We need support from the corporates & social communities to help us raise funds and expand our hunger mitigation projects to more public schools and low class communities. Thank you very much!
