Hope for Honeymoon

I am 26 years old, and newly engaged to my wonderful boyfriend of 3 years. We have struggled in those three years to get on our own feet. I have never dreamed of being in the position to ask anybody for help, but we have found ourselves wanting/needing this so much that it has come down to it.
My fiance does not come from very much money. In fact, his parents are struggling to keep their home lately due to his fathers end stage liver disease and medical bills. My parents just found out recently that they are expecting their first grandchild, to my amazing sister who found herself living across the country. They have been trying to save every last penny in order to visit her when she delivers their first sweet grandbaby.
With all of this happening, we have decided that we will have a simple courthouse wedding, and maybe a cookout afterwards so that we can celebrate with all of our family and loved ones. This seems the easiest, stress free way to have a "wedding" without overwhelming either party involved.
What our real dream has always been is to see the world. We decided that instead of a fancy wedding, we would give almost anything to have just one stress free weekend or week to ourselves, in the middle of the rain forest. After a lot of research, we have found a few beautiful places, internet and electricity free, at a surprisingly low cost. A perfect get away from the busy and stressful world that we live in. I believe that we could make this happen with the support of our families, but the reality is that they will not be able to help us.
After doing all of the math, we both realized that this is something that we just would not be able to afford. And with that, we have decided to hold off getting married until we can afford a honeymoon away, to just be with each other.
The cost of airfare alone almost breaks the bank. If it was not for the costly airplane tickets, this goal might be within our reach. I know that I am a complete and total stranger, but we believe the world is a good place. We know that sometimes people with a few extra pennies are willing to share them, as we too are often helping out friends and strangers in need. Most recently, we gave up our "storage" spare bedroom to a mother and daughter with 3 dogs and a cat for two weeks because they were in between homes.
We would forever be grateful for your generosity to any and everybody who helps us make this dream a reality.
