Mayan Families' Hope for the Animals program works steadfastly to curb the Guatemalan highlands' overpopulation of stray animals. We aim to improve the general welfare of this area's strays, whilst also halting the spread of diseases such as rabies and preventing harm to the area's wildlife. Unfortunately, this is often one of our most underfunded programs, making it extremely difficult to carry on with this important work.
This is why I have taken it upon myself to fundraise! Now to make things interesting, I will hereby take the Ice Bucket Challenge if I hit my goal of $2,000. That's right, I will have a huge bucket of ice poured all over me if I meet my goal!
In the interest of conserving H2O I will of course have this done on a piece of land in need of watering!
But it doesn't stop there - every $2,000 I raise, I will drench myself all over again! Not only that, but if I hit my grand target of $17,500, I will shave off my famous beard! Even my wife Sharon has never seen me without it!
You can make these things happen, whilst also helping us to solve one of Guatemala's serious problems! Please consider donating today.
Mayan Families is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code in the USA and all donations are tax-deductible, as allowed by US law.
