BENEFITING: HOPE FOR THE WARRIORS
ORGANIZER: HOPE FOR THE WARRIORS
EVENT DATE: Nov 03, 2013
As many of you know on August 6, 2011, I lost a dear friend. Me and my friends lovingly refer to him as Mr. R. He was a Navy SEAL and was killed in action along with 30 other American heroes that day in Afghanistan. Since that day my passion for the families left behind has only grown stronger. I feel connected to the families of 8.6.11 and 6.28.2005. Running a marathon has always been a goal of mine, but the good Lord knows I would never be able to run 26.2 miles without running them for something bigger than myself. I run for the fallen. I run for those left behind. I run for those still fighting. I run to remember. I run for Hope for the Warriors.
Please help me honor the men and women who sacrifice so selflessly to protect what is precious.

Team Hope for the Warriors® is looking to set a new record...$225,000 raised by Team members running the 2013 ING NYC Marathon! Help us reach our goal before November 3rd!
Team Hope For The Warriors® provides athletes of all abilities the opportunity to engage the competitive spirit at endurance events. Warrior Team members are provided adaptive equipment and race support to ensure that they are defined by their achievements rather than by their injuries. Community Team members challenge themselves to raise funds for America's heroes, set new athletic goals, or simply support our military. Together, these Team members are united by the goal to improve the rehabilitation of combat wounded service members and military families.
