In honor of my dad, who died from pancreatic cancer in 2011, at the very young age of 64, I promised to provide Hope Packages to new patients at our local Community Cancer Center.

All items are nurse-approved, and are given to patients with the intent to provide comfort during their treatments, while also offering love and support from our community who volunteers and donates to make this unique outreach possible.

We typically provide approximately 40 Hope Packages every single month. This means there are approximately 40 brand new patients who are facing an unknown journey in their lives, and we want them to know we are fighting with them.

All funds raised will go specifically to purchase the items we include in every Hope Package we give.

Our supply list includes the following items:
Soft Socks
Puzzle Book or Blank Journal
Trail Mix, Nuts, or Granola Bar
Peppermints or Lemon Drops
Chap Stick
Trial Size Lotion
Individual Kleenex Packages

We are truly blessed by child care facilities, elementary schools, summer camps, and other organizations to take the time to explain our mission to the children in their care, and those children beautifully color our bags, offering artwork to inspire patients with hope!

Any donations are appreciated. The cost to fill one bag is about $5. That's all it takes to uplift, inspire, and offer hope. Our fundraising goal would allow us to complete 200 Hope Packages!

If you're in the Bloomington, Illinois area, and would be interested in donating actual items or volunteering, please email me at Thank you!
